Now is Great Time to Volunteer!

Volunteers are the backbone of our ski community.  None of us would be skiing at Lapham without volunteers who have a passion and commitment to the sport.  Your time can have a significant impact!

Pressing Needs for 25-26 Season………

Social Director (may or may not be a Board Member)

This person is responsible to be the lead on our social events of the season.  For the upcoming season this would be running the End Of Season Gathering which is usually in March or April.  You would have a committee to help you with this planning and implementing.  Its a great way to meet others in the club!

Committee member for the End Of Season Gathering.

This would entail working with the Social Director and planning and carrying out this one night event in March or April.

Communication Assistant

This person will help with the webpage and assist in getting newsletter emails out to members.  Some computer/IT experience helpful.

Club Development/Fundraising Assistants

These 2-3 people would help our Development Director this season to get and retain sponsors.  Help with the auction as needed and assist with any pressing needs in the area of club development as the season progresses.

Family Ski Day Co-Chair and Volunteers for the event

Looking for someone to work with Lynda this season to learn what happens at Family Ski Day with the intention of running it next season.  This would be an ideal position for a family with young children who enjoy this yearly “Give Back” event in January each year.

Also need 5-6 volunteers to work at the event on Jan 25, 2026.  It is a really fun event where you only need to commit one afternoon and know it matters by watching the smiles on all the young faces!

Lessons Social Committee and Lesson Assistants:

This would be a group of people (3-4) that are signed up for evening lessons and are willing to start the fire and bring snacks for after lessons social time.  This could happen once or twice a session or every week depending on how many volunteers sign up.

Lesson assistants (2-3)

The club could also use 2-3 assistants that are willing to be on snow and help the instructors during lessons.  You do not need experience teaching for this role.

General Helpers as needed

LPSC would like to keep a list of club members that would consider volunteering  as needed when the season is in swing.  You may be called on to bring a dish to pass, set up or tear down for a meeting, mail,  newsletters, greet at events, etc.  If you would be willing to be on this list you will be contacted as needed and you can say “YES” or “NO” for that request.

These are all great ways to meet other skiers and share your passion for skiing with others.  Thanks for considering.
